It is too busy of a road with kids and then you have to take an uphill gravel path to the main paved trail around the lake. Plan to visit Pirates Cove Zip Line and Water Park, Bahamas. There are about 6 parking spots on the side of the very busy Hooes Road which I do not recommend.
We started coming here this summer and have probably already visited a half dozen times! The tricky part is parking but now that we have a good spot, I can recommend this beautiful lake with 5.6 miles of paved trails.
